Real-time assessment of perforation efficiency during stage pumping can be effectively achieved using acoustic friction analysis. Quantifying friction in both the pipe and perforations at each sand step allows for the continuous evaluation of how perforation erosion and varying sand ramps contribute to perforation loss throughout a given stage. Ultimately, employing this real-time diagnostic method provides critical insights needed to optimize perforation efficiency and enhance the overall effectiveness of stimulation treatments.
