A Permian operator evaluated 85 recently completed Midland Basin wells to determine whetheracoustically derived perforation efficiency can serve as an operationally actionable completion diagnostic.For a post-stage completion metric to support real-time production-enhancing design changes, themeasurement should correlate with production outcomes, exhibit predictive continuity betweensubsequent stages, and remain responsive to controllable treatment and completion design parameters.This study evaluates these relationships using production regression, perforation efficiency forecasting,and SHAP-based completion diagnostics derived from acoustic friction analysis.
